Other SIde of Indian Prostitution and Women Trading!!!

India a nation with more than 60% of population below age of 35.Equal half of India were made up of women.India a birth place for many religion from Hinduism to Jainism. In all Religion women play a dwarf role.Every religion encouraged women to be slave for society not only physically but also sexually.Only Indian god's have two wife and Hinduism never showed women were equal to men.Every king's and raja's ruled India had minimum of 10-20 wives. In addition to that Every fort were attached with Devadasi.Since ancient times India always been land of Women trading and women sexual violence.Over three thousand years the tradition of devadasi and prostitution in India were carried on without any opposition from a civilized society. In ancient times women were sexually sold in a open market based on there nudity. The worst part of 3,000 year practice even today 9-15 year children were pushed into prostitution.Every year in India alone 98,000 children,1,00,000 girls/women went missing. they were exported to other countries as prostitute, slave, domestic workers and even to steal organs.Indian women have high market value in International market.Next to Arm smuggling only human trafficking and women trade were large Industry.40% of Indian prostitute are children below 18.Even In history women were exchanged for money, property, wealth and power.

According to Human Rights Watch, there are approximately 15 million prostitutes in India. There are more than 100,000 women in prostitution in Bombay, Asia's largest sex industry center. Girls in prostitution in India, Pakistan and the Middle East are tortured, held in virtual imprisonment, sexually abused, and raped. Girl prostitutes are primarily located in low-middle income areas and business districts and are known by officials. Brothel keepers regularly recruit young girls. Girl prostitutes are grouped as common prostitutes, singers and dancers, call girls, religious prostitutes or devdasi, and caged brothel prostitutes. Districts bordering Maharashtra and Karnataka, known as the "devadasi belt," have trafficking structures operating at various levels. The women here are in prostitution either because their husbands deserted them, or they are trafficked through coercion and deception. Many are devadasi dedicated into prostitution for the goddess Yellamma.

An oft-repeated cause of prostitution is poverty. But poverty is only one of the reasons. The helplessness of women forces them to sell their bodies. Many girls from villages are trapped for the trade in the pretext of love and elope from home only to find themselves sold in the city to pimps who take money from the women as commission. The other causes of prostitution include ill treatment by parents, bad company, family prostitutes, social customs, inability to arrange marriage, lack of sex education, media, prior incest and rape, early marriage and desertion, lack of recreational facilities, ignorance, and acceptance of prostitution. Economic causes include poverty and economic distress. Psychological causes include desire for physical pleasure, greed, and dejection.

Most enter involuntarily. India, along with Thailand and the Philippines, has 1.3 million children in its sex-trade centers. The children come from relatively poorer areas and are trafficked to relatively richer ones. India and Pakistan are the main destinations for children under 16 who are trafficked in south Asia. What is causing alarm both in governmental and NGO circles is the escalation in trafficking of young girls in the last decade. NGOs like STOP and MAITI in Nepal report that most trafficking in India (both trans-border and in-country) is for prostitution. And 60 per cent of those trafficked into prostitution are adolescent girls in the age group of 12 to 16 years.
.

Globalization, professionalization of trafficking syndicates, feminization of poverty and rise in sex tourism - all have contributed to an increase in trafficking. This problem is further compounded because of two factors: linkages of trafficking with the spread of HIV/AIDS and the clandestine nature of the activity. Studies now show that while women of all ages are more vulnerable to the infection than men, young girls are even more at risk because their genital tracts are immature.

CASE EXAMPLES:
Meena was married off at 12. Soon after she was taken to Delhi by her husband, where she found out that he was a pimp. In the last three years, she has serviced up to six clients a night. The major part of her earnings goes to pay rent on the little room, the rest goes to her husband.

Rita was sold at 9 years old. She washed and cooked for a madam in Delhi for a few months until a client wanted a virgin. Two years later, she barely talks to anyone and spends most of her spare time painting flowers.

Maya, 10, was taken to Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh by her aunt who was paid Rs 3 000. When she refused to have sex with a client, she was locked in a room for two days, scared with snakes and beaten unconscious. When she came around she was raped by the client. Four years on, Maya lives in the red-light area of Mumbai. Her two year old spends the night in a crèche run by a social service organization. When he was only a few months old, she used to drug him and put him under her working cot. JUBILEE ACTION RESPONSE Jubilee Action is supporting two houses on the outskirts of Mumbai which are providing permanent homes for orphaned and abandoned children of prostitutes working in its red light district. The staff has rescued some of the 50 girls, others have been brought by their parents in order to protect their children from the streets' influence. Having received little education on the streets, the girls are integrated into the local school system and extra tuition is available at the home if required.
A Solution:

  • Law as to be made common to all without any boundaries.(Prostitution In mumbai, kolkata were done legally and states like Tamil nadu etc its illegal.)
  • Women whom forced into prostitution must be rehabilitated and provided job based on there qualification.
  • The middle whom catch children for prostitution must be booked under NSA and provided a minimum of 20 years punishment.
  • Female education must be taken a step forward than the male education.
  • Sex education must be made compulsory.(It's not against tradition of India.Hinduism preach sex education even three thousand years ego in form of a veda kamasutra.Only In the name of tradition we cant able to solve HIV and HUMAN trafficking)
  • More than 33% reservation in Parliament I like to see 33% reservation in Employment sector.(No use of it in parliament because until now if Male Mp elected from a constitution instead of which his wife going to be elected that's all.)
  • A special Cell as to be formed in Every district to keep track of Children kidnap and Human trafficking.(Since India is the global sex center and Human trafficking.)
  • Female most be provided with equal status in society and family.
  • UN as to make strict policy on Human trafficking and women trading across the globe.Every nation as to special monitoring.(Similar to arm and drug smuggling same care as too be given for Women trading to since its about $12 billion value Industry running across the globe.)
  • If you find any child in street leave them to local NGO's or women organization or Police station to save the child from prostitution(In Mechanical life show some care for others too.)

Conclusion:
